A Very Sweet 16 Lauren Callan thought of a great use for the proceeds from her 4-H hog sale. She used most of it to buy decorations for her 16th birthday party. The snazzy “Oscar Night” themed party wasn’t just for Lauren, though. She shared her day with residents at the Prestige Assisted Living Center in Kalispell. MT 4-H "State Shoot" and Regional Shooting Sports EventsThe Montana 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament, or "State Shoot", provides 4-H Shooting Sports members with an opportunity to participate in a fun and educational competitive match in archery, air rifle, air pistol, and small bore rifle. This tournament is open to all 4-H members enrolled in these disciplines, and is also the qualifying event for teens (14+) hoping to compete at the National 4-H Tournament in air rifle, air pistol, or small bore. Archery and other disciplines have separate qualifying matches. The Montana 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament is usually held in early March in Bozeman, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.
